Винарский рассуждает:
The second is how little Ayaan understands the Western civilization she wants to defend against Islamism. Ayaan's sister Haweya joins her in the Netherlands after Ayaan invents a tear-jerking refugee story for her; later Haweya develops a mental illness and is hospitalized. Ayaan tells herself, "It's a chemical inside her that is unbalanced. My sister is not cursed." She does not realize that each of these explanations of mental illness is as good as the other. Ayaan's claim that reading Freud made her develop a morality that is not based on religion is one of the weirder places in this book.
Интересно что когда я назвал автора процитированных строк законченным идиотом, нашлись люди не согласные со столь категорическим определением.
